The blog post experiment had a very interesting week… I had some commitments that really got in the way of writing posts. I was able to write some but wasn’t able to do nearly as many as I needed to. I’m WAY behind and am at about the half way point as far as the writing goes. However, the experiment still did great this week. The new posts were able to produce $780.40:

So far the posts I’ve written have made $1831 in three weeks.
I noticed some interesting things this week:
- People are linking to my posts. I’m not asking, it’s just happening. That’s what can happen if you really get into the mind of the searcher and deliver the information they’re looking for. This is obviously helping and is most likely responsible for a lot of the earnings increase this week.
- The earnings from posts varies wildly. One post will do really well one day and then won’t produce much for a few days. Sometimes I won’t be able to find the post at all for a few days. It will then come back and do really well again. A lot of people in the comments here as well as in the forums see this happen and freak out. They think that something it wrong. This always happens when you’re dealing with new posts – it doesn’t mean that something is wrong.
I have to laugh because I know that I’m going to get a new slug of comments asking how many ‘readers’ I had on the site before the experiment. It seems like the common explanation is that this money is being made because of existing traffic. This is frakkin hilarious because it shows me how little some people actually know about making money with Adsense. Guys, regular visitors do not click ads and never will. If you think I’m doing this because my ‘readers’ are clicking ads, you obviously don’t understand the game. Searchers are the ones who will click ads and if you want to get ad clicks, you have to draw the searchers.
As a side note, the site I’m working with had less than 10 readers before I started the experiment.
There are no tricks in how I’m reporting this stuff. I know how to find the right keywords and I understand how to write about them. If you’re wondering if I’m somehow leveraging my existing traffic to make this money let me put your mind at ease – I’m not. The traffic on this site is WAY up right now because of the addition of these new posts and it happens to be search traffic – the kind of traffic that clicks ads.
I’m a little surprised by how well this is going and at the same time I’m not. I’ve never added this much content based around solid keywords to a site before. Now that I’ve done this, I can’t figure out why this is the first time I’ve tried it. To me it’s pretty obvious that it would help any site but for some reason I hadn’t connected how much benefit I could get from this.
I think that some of you probably have the knowledge to pull something like this off and others need to learn more about keywords – how to find the right ones and how to target them well. There’s no way I could get these results without knowing what I know about keywords.

Looks good… I started a bit later but traffic is increasing steadily. By the way, my username password doesn’t seem to work for the member’s area… is it just me, or is there a problem with it right now?
Thanks for the blog update.
For the 100 posts, are you backing the new posts with article submissions or any other methods?
Mike
Mike I’m actually not! This is working mainly because of the selection of keywords I’m using and the fact that the site already does ok for similar keywords.
Thanks… last question.. (I’m already a TKA member).
What is the word count for these 100 posts? You mentioned 400+ words for your normal niche sites/keywords strategy.. but if they are all natural SEO traffic with no backup help from article submissions, 100-200 words/post will still do the trick, right? Or is 400+ word count still preferred?
wow. do you mean no backlinks from article submission and you still produce this result?
Amazing.
How do the articles got picked up by google and ranked well? Any idea?
Hey Court,
Just a few questions. What is the age of the site your using? Or how long has it been indexed with google? Also curious to how much linking has been done for the domain itself not the posts your creating.
Also how related is the domain name to the keywords your targeting? What I am getting at is it better just to go out and buy a domain that is 10 years old and has been used all those years for something and try creating a blog and linking to it that way? Seems like going through all the keywords 90 percent of the green ones I find have sites ranking that are not even trying to for the keyword. But the key is that they are aged around 10 years and have several thousand links pointing to the domain.
Anyway love the results was just curious more about what the age of the site is etc. Sorry if you already mentioned this.
Thanks,
Jason
Jason I’m not going to tell people a lot about the domain but I will tell you that it’s two years old.
Sorry for the lack of details but I would have to be crazy to tell people more about a site that’s doing this well.
Hi Court,
Interesting experiment, and a very successful one from the sounds of it. It really does all boil down to targeting the right keywords. A thousand visitors for this keyword phrase, a thousand more for the next, they all add up. Especially when you get a hundred posts up so quickly! The thing that is troublesome for me and a lot of others I would guess is-writing all that content, and in a short amount of time! I guess there are ways to make money online without so much writing like PPC advertizing, list building, or just building backlinks to what you got, but I’m going to knuckle down and start writing, your work ethic always inspires me Court!
Jerry
Very impressive and especially since you’re behind your schedule. Better go take a look on the inside for more info
Pleaea show the posts. Also, please show the authority site that you’re writing these posts on. How do we really know any of this is true?
Bob
Ok Bob here’s my work for you to copy:
Um no…
Oh man some of these comments are HILARIOUS.
Court, will you hold my hand AND write my blogs for me? In fact, for $1 can you just set up the whole thing for me?
ooh wait…i should really be posting this in the forum.
You should drop the name of the blog on us when the experiment is over so we can see the work.
The implication of all of this is that if you want to repeat it, come in as a paid member and I will show you. Is that correct?
My question is why are your paid members asking questions here if this is all laid out on the inside?
So… I should tell that that they aren’t allowed to comment out here?
Hi Court,
here to say, I hope you will drop some hints on how you go about doing all you have done to reach the level of adsense income even if you do not wish to reveal your sites or niches, I understand that as Internet Marketers does not reveal their niches or sites. But on the other hand, I would just hope that you can drop some hints here and there and we can get ourself paid and then we can join your academy to learn more on the inside.
In which ever way, I respect your decision and look forward for your response, thanks!
John it costs $1 to get started and I’ve been dropping hints for the last three years.
Mitch, there is a big difference between laying it out…. and getting people to do the work. The essentials are fairly easy, and there is plenty of good extra info on the inside of the site, but it is still up to individuals to do the hard work necessary to succeed with this. A big part of the value of the membership is the motivation and coaching they provide. The forum is very active and full of great information, but that doesn’t mean that members can’t communicate out here on the public part of the site. It’s good out here….it’s better inside.
Holy Cr*p Court that’s phenomenal. Man – I really need to get into doing this experiment. I’ll add it to my to-do list.
I was going to do it originally but got caught up with other projects.
Well done, great job.
Tracey
Nice, i hope to be able to do something like that.Very interesting to see what it will do.
Good stuff! But where are these posts? I can’t see the link.
I love this and I really love some of the comments. I have been making money consistently from AdSense for years. It has never ‘dead’ as so many proclaim it has, you just hsve to write, factually, about things that people search for … not techniques for ‘article marketing’ and other such time wasting stuff that only other IM’ers are interested in.
Just like running a hot dog cart, find a hungry crowd and feed them.
Lesse, what are people hungry for today? Health insurance, mortgage modifications, clunker sales handouts? All those subjects are double digit CPC’s.
Why does Google charge so much/share so much for subjects like this?
Because they can’t find enough real estate (meaning people writing about) the subjects people want to advertise on.
Couldn’t have said it better.
Court,
Do you (or any other bloggers out there) recommend using a sitemap on wordpress sites? Thanks.
Court, do you still advise using a max of 2 keywords per post, or did that change?
I’m curious how you would compare the results of this experiment with the instructions you provided in article back in Feb., specifically point #9.
http://thekeywordacademy.com/15-reasons-you-arent-making-money-with-google-adsense/
Are your 100 posts remaining focused on the original keywords? I’d imagine they’d have to widen just to give you room to write more material… but then that appears contradictory.
Keep up the great work.
Lucas
@Bob, he’s posting the freaking earnings. He has 100s of poeple that say his methods work. That’s how you know. If you’re skeptical, quit being a cheapskate and join the program. It’s a buck for hecks sake.
@Cleveland, get real. While he’s at it, should he give you his list of keywords too?
@Mitch, his paid members come here because we understand the value of posting comments on posts. We understand that while it doesn’t help us, it helps HIM rank. We could ask our questions in the forum, and we do, but we also ask questions here to boost rankings. It’s a buck for crimeny’s sake.
Really people stop being cheap.
Court, this make money experiment is one of your best yet, I’m just wondering when should I start seeing your results when I don’t have a domain as old?
My thoughts exactly.
For people who are working with newer sites, it’s going to take a while. Each niche is completely different – some might take two months, other might take 10 months!
A while back I started working on this site and I’ve been improving it for a while. If you can make a site get a little better each day it will eventually get to this level. It might take a while, but it will get there!
For these blog posts, do you have a particular way you write your titles? Do you have post title only or post title | blog title? Have you looked into which ranks better?
Couple of questions
1) You say the site is about 2 years old so did you start planning two years ago what keywords you would be using, what niche you’d be targeting?
2) Obviously the more the better, but how many posts does it take before you start noticing adsense revenue from a site?
Today I have learned two things, the second is to do more of what works and spend less time on stuff that doesn’t. Seems pretty obvious but I bet everyone spends time on projects that do not make them any money.
Hey Court,
I usually read your posts on my reader so I miss out on the comments. I came over today to look for an affiliate link and thought I would see what people were saying. I don’t know if I should laugh or cry at what I am reading. Laugh that people would doubt you and still try to get your info for free, or cry because these people can vote in an election. No wonder we are in such a mess.
You have given away so much information about blogging and seo over the years that anybody who has read you knows you have the real stuff. I wanted to learn how to make money with adsense so I signed up for The Keyword Academy and I am glad I did. Even if I never got another gem of advice from you I would feel great paying you a monthly membership fee for years because of how you have opened up my eyes to what goes on with making money online. The academy has completely changed my online presence.
If somebody won’t spend $1, less than the cost of a Coke, to find out your tricks and tips then they really have no intention of ever doing anything online. They will whine and moan the rest of their lives and try to get something for nothing like Bob above.
Anyway, thanks for all the help and I’ll see you on the inside.
This is pretty funny stuff. How can people actually think Court owes them something? Anyway, my life is changing one day at a time thanks to Court/Mark and the whole TKA community. I’m so freakin’ excited and anxious to see where I’ll be a year from today, 3 years, 5 years.
Imagine if Court waited years to get started, or not even get started at all. Imagine if Court just stuck to riding tractors on the fields all day and Mark stuck with his sales manager job. Imagine if you looked back a year from now and wondered how your life would have been had you made the decision to get started. Regret can be quite heavy on the soul.
Part of being highly successful is that you get to be in the position to inspire people and change their lives. I know what’s possible online now and my belief in myself is growing stronger everyday because of people like Court and Mark.
I used to think making $1 a day online was huge. But now that I’ve hit that, my eyes are set on bigger goals. Then I thought making $10 a day on the internet was huge. But now, my eyes are set on even bigger goals. To think, just a couple of months ago, $1 a day was just a dream.
This is a really interesting concept Court. I just got back to the blogging world, and it’s really nice to see something like this going down because many people are learning a lot. I’m redoing my RSS listings and keeping you on at the top so I can keep checking into this case study. Keep up the good work
Help Court! I have to know how week 4 turned out.
P.S. — Always enjoy the site.
Hi court, yesterday I send you message about the problem I have in my paypal account. I really want to try your first month course. Can I just transfer it manually to your paypal, you can email me the address.

Hey Court,
I dont have a credit card and cannot pay you $1 (everyone who has credit cards are afraid of internet-fraud). IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY FOR ME TO PAY YOU??? PLEASE EMAIL ME,SIR.
Thanks
Gilbert The Great
Impresive Court,
Maybe I outta be in your program. I read your ebook and wrote 5 articles on my site looking for specific keyprazes and I went from around 5 to 10 search visitors to 50 to 60 visitors a day. Thanks for all the info.
Chris
Very nice, congrats on your success
Waiting for next update.
Nice work Court. This is a good experiment. It only makes sense right? You get 100% of the impressions on your own pages as opposed to 60% on hubpages.
I was able to locate the website Court is using, it is an amzing website with very good articles!!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idiot_(person)
Maybe Court forgot there was a week 4?
probably…
hi court.why have you stopped posting on that blog?
Good. The task is enormous and the results so far are outstanding. when we are just struggling to make 1post a day you getting published dozens. That is a huge effort. Hats off to you.
The amount of money earned is amazing too. How is that possible? are they all adsense or affiliate programs
@Noor, It’s all from adsense, hence why it is in the adsense website. If it were from affiliate programs then it would not show the money under the adsense website.
Hi
Just discovered your challenge on the day I have started my own!! how sweet.
Looking for tips and ideas so I will be back.
Best Wishes
Denise
