3 Reasons People Fail To Make Money With Keywords

1. Not Knowing How To Properly Analyze Competition

The best way to play the keyword game is to find phrases that are easy to rank for. Understanding how to evaluate the sites that currently rank for keywords is a skill you can’t live without. People that don’t understand this process almost always fail with keywords. After using the methods that people have been preaching for years, I can tell you that they are ridiculously flawed. We will show you how to do analysis that actually teaches you something.

2. Lack Of Understanding The Google Machine

Google is actually a lot less complicated than it seems. If you don’t understand the process Google uses to rank pages, you’ll never succeed in achieving top rankings for phrases. One of our main goals in creating The Keyword Academy is educating good people on how Google works. Since Google currently has more than a 62% market share in the search market, you have to understand how it works to be able to play this game well.

3. People Give Up Way Too Soon

After working with literally hundreds of people, I can tell you that most people struggle with the persistence necessary to make money with keywords. Getting rankings in Google and other search engines takes time. You have to learn the concepts and then apply them with consistency and persistence until they work. Once they work, they will pay you for a very long time.

People often express to me that they don’t think they’re on the right track because it’s taking a while to get results. The truth is that you may be at a mental disadvantage because you haven’t watched a site grow toward success before. If this is the case for you, you will probably need to latch on to someone who understands how this works. We’ll do our absolute best to help you to understand how this normally plays out.

  1. What are you guys up to now? Can’t wait to learn some more from you guys! Keep the tips coming!

  2. I read the first lesson and reviewed the key words on two of my blogs. The first one showed PRs from 0-4 on page one for the competition. I’m currently on page 7, and have a PR3.
The other showed PRs 0-6 on page one. It is a more competitive niche but doesn’t have as many searches for the key words as the first blog does. I am indexed but pretty far down the list with a PR0.
    Thanks for the info.

  3. Oh Phooey, I just missed being the first commenter on the first post.

I signed up for you e-mail feed, I’m looking forward to it.

    Thanks,

    • I am new for SEO, how to do analyze following 3 Reasons…….

      1. Not Knowing How To Properly Analyze Competition

      2. 2. Lack Of Understanding The Google Machine

      3. People Give Up Way Too Soon

  4. Ok Professor, let’s go. I’m all ears. I want to learn how to analyze the competition so I can choose the best key words.

I just started this new software blog (I previously posted under the moniker “Computer Network Consulting”) so I could try monetizing it and I am about to start another.

3 Blogs with 3 different purposes. But all have 1 goal in common, Get Better Rankings!

Thanks for enlightening me to the new project.
    Tim

  5. I just signed up for the newsletter and am ready to start learning! I’m dabbling in a few blogs right now and earning a couple of $$ a day but I’d like to see that increase.

  6. Court,

You already have my complete devotion and trust. I’ve used my “real” email address to sign up! You are the master!

  7. “2. Lack Of Understanding The Google Machine”

I’ve been doing what the three of you (court, Vic, Griz)have preached and was up to spot #2 in Google for my keyword.

I continue to gain varied anchored links and now I have dropped to PAGE 5 of Google!

I’m extremely frustrated and I firmly believe that no one understands Google.

  8. Hey Court,

How’s it going? Great post by the way. Just wanted to say hello, it’s been awhile.

    Ryan

  9. Hey Court — glad to see you up and running again. Looking forward to the coming content.

    Regards,
    Mark

  10. Hey Court,

Where did you go. I learned so much from the Internet Marketing school and you aren’t going to blog there anymore? What will happen to it? Will you be turning into a static website?

  11. What a great idea! Looking forward to learning more about keywords.

  12. Court and Mark,

Great job guys. It will be interesting to see this site come together. Keep it coming… :)

  13. Frustrated is a term that best describes me right now. I am stuck at #11 and have been for way too long! I was ranked #5 for a good while for a pretty popular phrase and dropped to like 175 overnight! I’m getting a bit distracted with all of this SEM/Google. You must have to have a good amount of patients in order to keep motivated.

  14. Hey guys, looking forward to the info on this new site as well as the email mini series. Thanks for dropping knowledge on us all! :)

  15. Awesome! Congrats on the new site.

I’m also curious to know: what will be happening to CourtneyTuttle.com?

  16. When’s Day 2’s email coming? I waited anxiously all day. After reading CourtneyTuttle.com nearly cover to cover about a month ago I’m really addicted to blogging. I created the above linked site and my wife’s farrier site for her business, where I got her blogging. I really appreciate the info and insight.

    Thank you,
    Bill

  17. Hi Court and Mark,

Good luck with this new site, not that you need it.

Court nice to see back after the bitchy ‘G’ slap.

I see a lot of the old faces have found this new site already!

Not that I am saying your face looks old Monica

    All the best

    John

  18. It’s great to see a post from you.

I’m looking forward to your email series – how often can we say that??

  19. WOW!!! After reading the email for Day 2, I had an epiphany! A whole new SEO world opened up to me from just 2 little words. “article distribution”. As soon as I googled that term, the light went on and I am now set on a mission!

    Thanks Professor!!!
    Tim

  20. I will be frank and say that I really don’t know how to analyse the competition. Will be interested to know about your analysis.

    Cheers.

  21. Thank you Court, I’ve dropped by twice here for my lessons, looking forward to learning more on keywords. Some day, I’ll have it all figured out.

  22. student jobs leeds

    Hi,
I have read some stuff written on your blog. I would appreciate if you guys elaborate a little more on how Google machine works..like what’s the trick to play smart with Google.
    Looking forward to your response.

  23. I have to tell you, I completely agree with Court’s third point. It takes a while, but it does work. I have been using his methods since last January. I have learned a lot, but still have quite a bit to pick up. My earnings this year are still modest, but I have watched my sites steadily rise on Google. Time is a critical function when it comes to this.

Court, I wanted to ask you about the way you make money on your hitch site. I assume you do not stock the products. Would you mind shedding a little lite on how that works?

Thanks and keep up the good work..it really helps.

  24. I am new for SEO, how to do analyze following 3 Resaons…….

    1. Not Knowing How To Properly Analyze Competition

    2. 2. Lack Of Understanding The Google Machine

    3. People Give Up Way Too Soon

  25. I receive emails every day from people that have gave up to soon, I tell them that it takes time and patient. Keyword research in my opinion is one of the most important first steps in making cash online. as far as understanding the google machine, I’m not real sure that is possible, they are changing the way they rank and index sites all the time.

  26. i just lack of understanding the google machine. i just don’t know how they work. in my head i just think if i got high pagerank then my keyword what ever it is will be put in the top 10 google.
