Can I Make it to $1,000/Month in Online Income by Only Publishing Two Articles Per Week?

Someone within the Keyword Academy once said that they were most comfortable with a posting schedule of putting up two new articles per week on their website.

They wanted to know if they could get to $1,000/month in online income with this schedule.

My opinion is that you would have to be very lucky and talented to build an income like that with such low volume, and you would somehow have to:

1) Get incredibly lucky with your topic selection.

2) Publish extremely valuable content that spreads in a viral fashion.

3) Have a unique and highly efficient form of monetization that goes beyond basic CPC ads and affiliate sale.

If you think about those 3 points and really take a long hard look at them you will realize that betting on any one of them is not realistic for most newcomers. This is because:

* The web is a fairly efficient market and it becomes more so every day as more and more internet marketers flood the profitable niches. So getting lucky with topic selection becomes less and less likely with each passing day as the web becomes more and more saturated.

* Writing viral content is certainly possible but can be a bit like catching lightning in a bottle. This is especially true if you are just starting out and do not have a regular audience yet to help spread the content for you.

* Monetizing more efficiently than Google means that you have to move up in the chain as far as services or products. Rather than referring people through an ad based on a topic you want to somehow sell them the solution directly. This sounds easy in theory but you will likely need to spend more time and energy position to start making actual loans to your site visitors? Probably not.

So what is the solution?

Ignore these potential “shortcuts” that will likely not work out for you anyway and just leave you discouraged.

The Keyword Academy offers a long, stable, and safer path to a sustainable online income through the creation of an authority website.

Writing 2 articles per week probably will not get you to your income goals.

Try writing 2 or 3 per day while building an amazing website.

Don’t count on a lucky shortcut. Instead, use the volume + quality approach to create a huge website that the search engines would be foolish to ignore.

This doesn’t make any sense. There’s no time limit specified in the article, so even if you publish 2 per week (or even less), it’s totally reasonable to say that you’ll get to $1000 a month eventually. Sure, it’ll probably take longer, but you can still get there.

A little bit is better than nothing… it’s almost like this article is trying to encourage people to give up completely and not even get started…

    • Crunchy couch potato

      I quit!!

i can’t even comment on a blog more than once a month…but if I could write articles as fast as I flip channels, i’d be a brazilianaire by now

  2. Agrees with potatos

I agree with “Crunchy couch potato”, if I can’t make money like Oprah by just watching Oprah then I don’t have any other great ideas at this point.

  3. Crunchy couch potato

You can make money by watching Oprah, but only if you sit in her live studio audience, when she gives away cars and throws out $100 bills

  4. Now disagrees with potatos

Anything that involves leaving my couch does not interest me.

@ Soulriser – A forum member (Hammer) once told me: “Aim high, hit high. Aim low, hit low.” At the time, I was trying to rationalize doing LESS.

I could not be happier after taking his advice to heart…..

  6. I don’t think that Skinnyninja was saying that it’s wrong to only publish 2 articles a week – I think he was just saying that it’s highly unlikely that you’ll ever get to 1k per month with that kind of output.

It’s a dose of reality. It doesn’t mean that you should quit, it just means that you have to adjust your expectations. If you don’t adjust your expectations and publish two articles per week for two months without earning any money, you’ll get discouraged and quit.

Having said that, if you publish two articles a week, write quality content and are patient – your traffic and income opportunities will increase. It may not be 1k per month, but even $5 a day adds up. As the money trickles in, you’ll be encouraged to do more and if you’re wise – you can also invest some of that money back into your sites to help you move up the ranks a little quicker.

I’ve published far less than 2 articles a week, but I haven’t given up and my patience has been rewarded through small income streams that keep my online activities viable. I’m no where near 1k per month – but I’m making progress and intend to push out more content where possible.

It might not be an easy way to $1,000 per month, but what else can you do for so little money that can pay you for years to come? Money alone won’t be enough of a motivator – you’ll need to find something that you have a strong interest and preferably a passion for so that you’ll push through the tough times.

    Just my two cents.

  7. I would love to get some more tips on how to write high-quality articles faster. I used to put up like 30 articles a day, but now that I’m focusing on quality I can only get about two a day.

I’m actually seeing better grow with two a day then I was with 30 a day under my old method so I’m encouraged. I think if I could get 3-5 high-quality articles a day my income would explode. I’ll keep after it.

Took me 6 years to get to $2500 a month, but I still got there. I published much less than 2 articles per week on average. There was no consistency whatsoever. Sometimes I had ‘bursts’ of working my butt off for a few weeks or months, and then I stopped. I hate routine. I can not and will not ever have any kind of consistent publishing schedule other than “when I feel like it”. This works for me. No reason it can’t work for other people. Refusing to give up is the most important thing.
