Did you know the space shuttle uses about 98% of its fuel just to get into orbit? It’s true – once the shuttle clears the earth’s atmosphere and settles into orbit it cruises at about 17,000 miles per hour using about 1/50th of the fuel it took to get off the ground in the first place.
Your niche websites are no different. Trust me – the hardest part is getting started – leaving the launch pad. If you’re like most of our past students, you’re feeling excited about the prospect of earning low maintenance internet income through easy to set up niche sites, but there’s just something holding you back. The obstacle is the fear you’ll do it wrong and waste your time and money – which only makes you feel more frustrated about one more internet marketing method that’s working for other people…but won’t work for you.
Let Us Walk You Through the Start-up Process
Well, no more. It’s time to put the fear and the hesitation behind you. Court and I would like to give you a a video that walks you through the process of setting up your first site – so you can clear the launch pad that be that much closer to cruising effortlessly with your dream online income.
See, a few months ago Court and I were introduced to webinar software that lets us talk to a group of students over the web – basically a conference call – but with the added benefit of being able to broadcast our computer screens to everyone on the call. So you’re not only listening to us explain the methods; you also get to look over our shoulder as we do the work. It’s a powerful teaching tool, and it’s the perfect way to help you get your first site started. We held one of these webinars just a few days ago, recorded the session, and that recording is now available for easy download.
Here’s what you’ll learn during the session:
- How to brainstorm a general topic for a website (we’ll start very general – cars, chairs, health…you get the idea) that will have value when turned into a niche website.
- How to use a free keyword research tool to turn that general topic idea into a list of potential keywords.
- How to narrow that keyword list down to a single keyword that meets our standards.
- How exactly we go about targeting that keyword with a niche website – where we want it to show up on each page, how many times it should show up, and how we go about creating and structuring the content for our niche sites so we get maximum search engine benefits.
A Couple of Bonuses
First of all, at the end of the webinar some of the participants asked some really intelligent questions and we had a good little Q&A session. You’ll learn a good deal by listening to their perspective on things.
Another bonus we want you to have is a Wordpress Configuration and Customization recording I made from a webinar held with some of our students. In that session we cover how to tweak a Wordpress theme (yeah, actually digging into the code a little – you’ll feel like such a programming geek afterward). We don’t dig too deeply into the code inside your Wordpress theme, but we will show you how to make some important changes so you can get your theme looking just how you want it.
The combined length of the videos is nearly two and a half hours. Not that we want to make you sit through them all at once – but they’ll be a good resource you can refer to back to whenever you like.
It’s going to cost you less than 10 bucks to get these videos – but you’re not going to be giving the money to me and Court – you’re going to invest it in yourself.
Here’s how. Part of this whole process of setting up niche sites is your new web hosting account. Court and I recommend that you host your first few sites on a single hosting account with a company called HostGator.com. We’ve been using HostGator for well over a year and we’ve been really impressed with the quality of service they provide, so we recommend them to you (and all our students). When someone signs up for a hosting account through us, HostGator pays us a nice referral bonus.
Now, the hosting account we recommend normally costs $9.95 per month (the banner says $7.95, but I’ll be up front and tell you it’s only $7.95 if you pay a couple of years up front – which I never do), but they have a deal that lets you get your first month of hosting for 1 cent (you can get that deal by clicking the banner to the right and using the coupon code wordpress). After the first month you’ll only pay a little under ten bucks per month to host as many niche sites as you want on your HostGator account. So if you do that – sign up for a new hosting account through that 1 cent banner at the bottom of this page – we’ll gladly send you download links for both webinar recordings at no extra charge. You get our guidance and support, we get paid by HostGator – everybody wins.
One thing you should know is you’ll need to have a domain name ready when you go to sign up for your hosting. So, if you have a domain you can use already, then great. If not, I recommend getting one at ProudDomains.com – it’ll cost less than $10 (which brings your total outlay to about $10 including the one penny for your first month of hosting. If you already have a domain you’re going to sneak out of there – and get your videos from us – for just the one penny).
If you need a little guidance through the process of buying a domain and hooking it up to your new HostGator account, here are a couple of videos to help you:
Pointing Your Domain At Your Hosting Account
So click the red banner, sign up for your one cent hosting account, then send your proof of purchase to hostgator[at]thekeywordacademy[dot]com (make sure you send it to that address) , and I’ll send you the download links right away.
Let’s get you heading down the path to making some money online!
Thanks,
Mark

Hello Mark,
I’ve signed up for Hostgator through the banner but have not received the download links yet. I’ve also sent you the transaction id through email. Please let me know if there’s anything i can do on my end.
Thanks!
Chris
You should get it as long as you send the email to hostgator[at]thekeywordacademy[dot]com.
Thanks Chris!

I have a problem with HostGator – please see below for the email I sent them – I would dearly want to be a member of this club – so glad I disvovered you, but it would appear that South Africa is not supported! See below….
Dear Hostgator Sales Team,
I worked through your template demo – before deciding to sign up. One problem here: You do not support South Africa. USA English spelling is not the same, neither is the currency. The templates are all showing as $ for currency. This makes hostgator impossible to use – in South Africa! Is there a work-around to this? Your site has fantastic tools – unlike the web hosting services available in South Africa. Also to join and get the support I need from http://thekeywordacademy.com/fast-start/ it is required I host through you. But since you don’t cater for South Africa this is not possible!
Would appreciate feed-back. Thank you.
Eureka Morrison
South Africa
Okay, I’ve had feedback from hostgater and it is okay, but there is no affiliate link on this site to hostgater, no ‘red banner’ to click on. I am going to register anyway and then I’ll forward the proof of payment to the ‘red email address’. I truly hope this will qualify me to receive the downloads as said above.
Thank you,
Eureka Morrison
Hello Mark, I am looking into your service and saw all the SBI bashing and don’t understand what the difference is. I have no vested interest, just wondering why the beating on SBI. I checked their site last night and they offer a $29/mo. fee or $299/year. Your is similar or more, where is the rip off? Unless their instruction or support is below par, as in the Google web site submittal, but I don’t know the difference. I am just looking to get the straight info and like many have been raked over the coals with scams. What’s the scoop. Quality of training, up to date info, quality of support, what is it? You can email me directly if it is Ok. I am looking into your offer. Also explain why Wordpress over you own site?
Mike
HmI’ve considered the evidently simple ways the big G works. The affair is that Google indexes your page abundant times, it still takes a tonne of due work on your part to get a page to become intriguing to the spiders. This just adds to my understanding of search engine optimization!
Hi Mark,
I signed up for a host gator account yesterday through your link, but the email keeps bouncing back when I send the confirmation. I’ve tried triple-checking the address (hostgator at thekeywordacademy dot com) and sent it a few different times with no luck. Is there another address I can send it to in order to receive the videos you’ve offered? Thanks!
Hey Mark,
Same deal as others above sent the conformation to the (hostgator at thekeywordacademy dot com)a couple times and keeps getting kicked backed. What gives.
I am going to be joining hostgator on your referral link and want to know if you still provide the 30 minutes of talk time either with you or Court.
