How To Get Your Website Into Google

If you have created the content for your website, it’s time to get it into Google. If you haven’t been able to get that far, go back to the ‘how to make money online when you’re a beginner’ post and follow the steps that I have outlined.

Getting Into Google

Google’s massive index of websites includes each site they think is relevant. Obviously, you aren’t going to get any traffic from Google until you can get into Google.

Getting in is actually pretty simple – you have to show Google that you’re relevant and that’s quite simple. The only thing you have to do to convince them is get another site that’s already in to link to you.

If you have a site that’s in Google, getting in is easy because you can link to yourself. If you don’t, you’re going to have to find someone else to link to you and here are the two easiest ways to do that:

  1. Submit an article to EzineArticles.com. Ezine will publish your article for free and will allow you to link back to your site at the end of it. Doing this with three or four articles will give you a better chance at getting indexed (getting ‘indexed’ means getting in).
  2. Submit to social bookmarking/voting sites. You can use Social Marker to submit to a load of these sites and each will link back to you.

How Long Does It Take To Get In?

If you use both of these methods you can normally get your site into Google within 24 hours. It can take up to a week so don’t get nervous until a week has passed. If your site was built on Blogger it can take a little longer and this isn’t unusual.  You can learn more about how to rank your site well in Google by downloading and reading our free eBook.

What Not To Do

Do NOT submit your site to Google. This actually slows down the process and if you don’t believe me, test it. It’s the honest truth.

I definitely am trying out social marker.

    Thanks!

  2. I agree 100%. I always get my sites indexed quickly by submitting something to ezinearticles.

  3. Social Marker looks very cool but isn’t submitting your site to all those social bookmarking sites, Google bombing?

  4. Also some blog commenting will get you there. In fact, if you drop comments on about 10 different blogs, I have never waited longer than about 48 hours for indexing. Doesn’t matter if they’re nofollow or not.

    • Hey Rob. I’m new to this and was thinking the same thing. So commenting on someone’s blog and including the URL to your site helps to get you indexed?
Isn’t this also a way to get a link to point to your site?

      • Sara – yes, it will get you indexed if you do it from a mixture of blogs. I usually leave about 10-20 comments on other blogs when I am trying to get a new site indexed. To seal the deal, I also do an article submission run, get a few directory links and then do some social bookmarking.

And yes, a blog comment can be a way to get a link to your site. (of varying value, depending on the blog)

Use all of the methods together – none of them is a silver bullet.

        • Hey! My name’s Adam Trask and I’m seeking link partners that
our visitors would be interested in visiting. I liked your website so much that I want to make a link exchange if that’s okay with you.It would be greatly appreciated!

Title: Money Ways | Daily Money Makers
          URL: DailyMoneyMakers.biz

We’ve got several PR6 and 7 websites, so we expect this site to become
          at least a PR5 within 1 month and will eventually become a 6 or 7 in 2-3
          months.Thanks in Advance!

You can e-mail me back with your link title and url. Hope to hear from you soon!

  5. Thanks for the info, I didn’t know about social marker. I am going to try it out. Thanks again.

  6. Hey, first off I found your site through grizz. I’ve try to email grizz on this and he never got back which is understandable due to the huge amount of email he gets:

Are your blogs run on wordpress???
    1) what theme do you use
    2) is there a theme that has the ad block above the post?
I currently use SEO admax but I feel like there is a
a little to much going on with this theme. This theme
wrap in on the post page and all kinds of stuff on the
    home page
    3) When testing to optimize for the site how do you change
grizz style above post to wrap in to leaderboard. How
much coding knowledge does this require.

    Thanks, Marc

  9. trying to get website into google

  10. This may sound dumb but does “submitting to Google” means using Google Sitemap?

  11. I started a test blog on Blogger. I submitted the first post to mixx. I was indexed in a few hours. Not sure how fast cause I didn’t keep checking. But it was pretty darn quick.

  12. I just started a niche site, only have one post up so far, didn’t submit anything anywhere and Google indexed me in 2 days. Not sure why but I’ll take it. Yahoo still has no idea I exist but eh.

  13. If you have a blog..then submiiiting your feed to feedage.com or feeedagg.com will get your indexed in as little as 15 minutes.

  14. I love the help for optimization for Google. I’d love to help get the word out for retardsforpalin.org. We need help to elect Sarah for 2012!

  21. I used this tip about 10 days ago, and i was ranked very quickly. i really appreciate the “don’t submit your site to google” trick, but i wanted to ask if submitting your site to google after it has already been indexed would cause problems?

    Great Program, really top notch.

  22. Great advice, to add to it i’d say you should shouldn’t ping your website, but definitely ping all new bookmarks + articles that link to your site. By doing that you’ll get those pages indexed faster and in turn have them follow the link to your site (which will then be indexed). Because you’d be sending the spiders to a more robust site like ezinearticles you don’t have the risk of showing up as being spam (unlike the millions of daily pings that people throw at them to their own sites).
A good free ping site is PingNinja. Its a lot faster than most other ping sites and is also completely free.

  62. Google considers various factors for ranking a website high in SERPs. Quality content, usage of keywords appropriately, back links from high PR site.

  63. I AM A BUSINESS TRYING TO GET ONTO GOOGLE

  64. Kaspersky will definitely get two thumbs up from me when it comes to killing all those pesky viruses and spywares~”~

  65. I keep listening to the news update lecture about receiving boundless online grant applications so I have been looking around for the best site to get one. Could you advise me please, where could i acquire some?

  66. An increasingly popular search online is for floor protectors for chairs. It’s amusing because I had been just searching for this precise thing the other day, and I discovered that I could not obtain any info which I required for this particular topic. You see, when I was out and about in search of floor protectors for chairs, I stumbled upon lots of various things to look out for and simply made a checklist of things for you to cover before you purchase any types of floor protectors for chairs.
The first and very foremost of the points is the color of your floor protectors. You see, and this is something That I didn’t even think of, the floor protectors for chairs can stick out like a sore thumb when they are a different color than the actual chairs that they are placed on. So when a person walks into the house and recognizes that, they aren’t gonna want to look away from it since it will appear so out of place. So the best way to fix this problem is to make sure you get your protectors with the same color as the chair that it will be placed on. That way they wont be visible and will definitely not cause a scene in your house.
The second thing that was brought to my attention was that size will matter when it comes to floor protectors for chairs. Appearantly, if the protector is too large it would either look silly, or fall off altogether and, if it is too small, they either won’t fit, obviously, or they will not give adequate coverage regarding the chairs themselves and may still allow the furniture to scuff the floors. So, it is very important to determine the diameter of the chair leg before going out and searching for the floor protectors for chairs to ensure perfect fit and coverage for the furniture.
The 3rd, and last thing that had been brought to my attention, is something I was already sort of thinking about, but hadn’t fully considered before it had been mentioned. This being the material that the floor protectors for chairs were made from. You see, there are various types of materials you can find these in and it all matters on a few things in your agenda; 1.) Just how much are you willing to spend? 2.) what exactly are your floors made from?. If you get something that is too hard, then it could still scratch or scuff a softer wood floor, very much unlike cherry wood that is very strong and tough. And if you would like to spend next to nothing at all then you will most likely end up getting more of a temporary fix to a permanent issue. After spending almost half of my day on something I believed would take me only one hour to cover, I’d highly recommend splurging on the $10 bag of felt floor protectors for chairs. They are soft, reliable, and allow the chair to be pulled over the floor without much worry.
Let’s go over our list of points to consider now when buying floor protectors for chairs. Remember the color needs to match the chair itself, so it is not sticking out like a sore thumb. Keep in mind that size does matter when it comes to these things, so make sure they fit like Michael Jacksons glove. And finally, make sure to purchase the best material for your price range and type of floor. I recommend the felt floor protectors for chairs since they are all around perfect and what I decided on for my house.
