PageRank Update: April 2009

There’s a PageRank update going on right now! If you want to see if your PR is changing or has changed already, you can check it out on Dig PageRank. They’ll show you a bunch of data centers and you should still see your old PR and your new PR.

I’ve talked about this before -PageRank doesn’t have a ton to do with making money but it can be a decent gauge of whether you’re getting some good links or not.

Grizzly at Make Money For Beginners finally got a little PR back (in the toolbar). We do of course know that really he had it the whole time.

    Wow, thanks for the heads up Court. Also, thanks for all your guidance. Every one of my PR0’s have moved up to PR1’s and my PR1 is now a PR3.

    What’s the difference? All the stuff I’ve read on your site as well as Griz and that Unique Article Wizard.

    PR3 is pretty huge for me. I’m lovin’ it! Wait, someone already has that slogan. :)

    Well that kinda sucks… I was enjoying all the wtf comments about dominating a niche with a PR0! Lol. :-)

    Yah, like you said, PR doesn’t mean anything…. I have one PR 3 site that made me like $1800 last month, and one PR 3 that made me $100 last month… one ranks #1 for it’s top 2 keywords and is older, and the other is newer and still working it’s way up…

    Google gave a brand brand new site a PR3 but didn’t move one of my sites to up from a pr2 even though there are a ton more links to it. Guess it is just a crap shoot..

    One of my brand new sites went from PR0 to PR4. The site only has 5 incoming links according to Yahoo’s site explorer.

    What is the likelihood that this site will actually keep this unexpectedly high PR?

    Mine didn’t Change:( But does PR really matter. I’m on the first page of Google for my Keyword. Moving up a spot every couple days:)

    Pagerank is soooo weird. I had a site go to PR2 when it only has 10 visitors a day and no updates.

    Most of the web sites show no pr (even google itself) today – in Firefox.
